Types of Hair
According to Ayurveda, three types of hair are there based on the predominant dosha and prakrthi of the person- Vata, Pittha and kapha. Each type varies in their features. Mainly hair loss and premature graying is due to the aggravated Pitta dosha and vata dosha. Also hormonal imbalances, stress, lack of sleep, improper diet, dandruff, infections etc. cause hair loss.

Natural Ayurvedic remedies
Bhringraj- King of herbs for hair care. Bhringraj Oil is very effective in preventing hair fall and premature graying of hair.
Amla-Improves scalp health by preventing dandruff. It is a powerful antioxidant and it purifies blood. It conditions hair from root to tip. It can be taken daily, which acts as rasayana which helps in building hair strong, thick and black.
Amla powder or fresh paste can be applied on scalp after mixing with water, keep it for 30 mts. Then wash thoroughly. This will leave your hair soft, smooth and black.
Aloe Vera- control hair fall, promotes hair growth, conditions hair, make it thick and strong
Aloe vera fresh extract mixed with coconut oil can be used to massage scalp and hair. Let it sit for 15-30 mins. Wash off with mild shampoo. Use twice a week.
Hot oil Massage: Any ayurvedic oil, simply coconut oil can be used to massage scalp which improves circulation.
Take some oil. Heat it by double boiling or add oil to a pre heated bowl to avoid burning. Burnt oil can cause hair fall. Massage your scalp with this hot oil using fingertips for about 30 minutes. This can be done daily or try it at least thrice a week.
